What ya get:
A strong container for transformation. Eight (8) 75-minute weekly group calls on Zoom: Celebrate wins, share what’s working, participate in guided meditations & somatic practices, explore the topic(s) of the week, troubleshoot & get support with what’s not working, and connect in breakout rooms. Come as you are.*
Group connection. You will have the option of joining a group forum where you can stay in touch with your cohort members to celebrate your successes and reach out for support.
An accountability partner. This is the secret sauce of the program. You will have the opportunity to choose or be matched with an AP. Your AP is someone who’s doing the work alongside you in the container. They “get it” and can help you stay compassionately accountable.
A weekly journaling +/- “playwork” (rather than homework) prompt
Weekly recorded practices/teachings that you can access throughout the program
*The calls are recorded & will be sent out within ~24 hours.
Testimonials from a previous program called Being Extraordinary
-
I've been amazed at the power of moving through them with a group of committed women. So much has shifted beyond the habits - letting go of old patterns and things that no longer serve me. Watching and hearing others going through the same process has accelerated my own growth.
-
I'm grateful for this group. It is giving me the platform to show up for myself in the best way possible that I know how in each moment. My favorite part is the weekly live group meetings and connecting with everyone.
-
Being in Being Extraordinary means being extraordinarily myself and stepping into my unique role in the group.
-
Adair embodies alignment. As an educator she brings authenticity to the forefront. As a member of BE in 2020-21 I entered a space that became the container where I explored intentionality, mindful community, and how to apply healthy habits with curiosity and compassion. Working with Adair has been an integral part journey into my own authenticity.
-
Working with Adair has truly deepened my understanding of my physical and spiritual self. As a social worker and mentor, I am frequently navigating high stress situations. With Adair's guidance and coaching, I have the tools to ground myself when everything feels chaotic, but at the same time, she has provided me with the tools to nurture and empower myself. I have learned the importance of balancing the need to serve myself before I am able to serve others, and those lessons have all been rooted in joy and self-worth.

It’s like spiritual skinny dipping!
-
When you listen to other people and you’re on a similar page, there’s an articulation and a vocabulary that you get from everybody else that kind of helps to craft and shape your own introspection that I really appreciate.
-
I always appreciate hearing what’s going on with other people and realizing how much I resonate to other people’s journey - and that uber thing of not feeling alone on this path. It’s super important, you know?
-
I appreciated the chance to think without limit and let my mind go all over the place with the possibilities.
What it’s not:
Trauma therapy. We’re not going to be diving into trauma narratives as you might in a group or trauma-specific therapy setting (e.g., EMDR). Instead, along with psychoeducation about trauma & post-traumatic growth, you’ll have guided practices to support you in connecting safely with your body, & help with initiating new habits that support healing. These, along with the container itself, are powerful for releasing trauma patterns held in the body.
A place to share visual/highly specific details about your trauma. Feeling heard and seen is important, and your story matters. While there will be space to speak to your experience, giving specific details about our trauma can be activating to others. In essence, share what you need to share to feel heard and seen, knowing that this can help others - while not dumping. There’s no doing any of this perfectly, and sometimes we have to learn on the fly (I know I do).
Another note:
This program pairs well with therapy. Due to the nature of the program, we’ll be touching on the topic of trauma. If you’re not working with a therapist, it’s best to have at least 1 solid processing practice (e.g. journaling, yoga), and/or a support person with whom you can process honestly.

Aspire for an oppression-free container: We strive for this space to not replicate systems of oppression (ableism, racism, misogyny, queer & transphobia, anti-fat bias), and yet, it may arise. We will collectively make space to name it, be with it, and process it as it arises, cultivating harm-reduction over time.*
If you are on a payment plan, it is your responsibility to put your payment schedule in your calendar and make payments on the agreed-upon dates.
